Q: We were late with rent during Hurricane Herman landlord Trend the charge us $25 a day in a late fee is this legal

It doesn't specify if it's $25 day week or month in our lease in our original lease was up two and a half years ago we've never renewed at least since I understand that are least goes off of our original but now he's charging me $25 a day which he knows I don't have
