Largo, FL asked in Landlord - Tenant for Florida

Q: My landlord came on Friday morning after Hurricane Irma and removed all the food in my refrigerator. I was out.

Power had been restored the night before and I had brought food that I had at my son's with a generator and put it in the refrigerator along with ice, just in case. It was all good.

Is this legal? It certainly was not an emergency.

There was a vague notice posted that if we noticed food missing management was responsible. No date or time noted.

A: Perhaps they were hungry, and are trying to tell you that if you want to be compensated for your food to ask about it.
