Q: Small claims question
Went on time share vacation with former boyfriend and I agreed to pay my expenses. While there, he purchased a time share And since I recommended him, I rec'd points as a referral fee. I'm now trying to recover what he owes me in expenses, minus mine, that I charged on my card while there. and he is insisting on deducting the value of the points I received from what he owes me. This was never discussed and I never agreed as the points are mine. If I take him to small claims, do I have a good chance to recover? Will I also be able to claim the small claims fees? Thank you
A: Yes, if you get a judgment in small claims court, it will include your court costs (filing fee and service of process).
