New Smyrna Beach, FL asked in Contracts and Business Law for Florida

Q: Contractor is requiring me to use his credit card processor instead of my own. Is this legal?

I am a subcontractor in the food concession business. Contract holder is now requiring me to change to his credit card processor instead of the one I have used for 7 years. The one he is saying I have to use is paying him a percentage of my fees.

A: It will likely turn upon your contract and the terms thereof. If the end result doesn't change your bottom line what is thrh concern.

I suggest that you consult with an attorney in your area on the terms of your contract.
