Q: Is it legal for a woman to just start trying to collect child support after a child turns 10?
She had originally asked for no child support and actually took his rights but is now trying to collect all of a sudden
A: The entitlement to child support belongs to the child, not the parent. If you are the biological father and there is a paternity order then she can seek child support on behalf of the child. As a separate matter, you have a right to timesharing with the child.
