Charlottesville, VA asked in Traffic Tickets for Illinois

Q: The ticket court date is not clear. Looked like 12/11. I paid fine on 10/16. But got notice that I missed the 10/11 pay

I got the notice on 10/16. Same day I mailed my fine already. Should I go to clerk to show the ticket that the date looked like 12/11 instead 10/11. Can they cancel the decision to suspend my driving license because I failed to pay my fine. Actually I did pay. Just the date is not clear to me. The ticket issued on 9/20/17. It was said to pay the fine 10 days after the date, 3 days before court date. The court date the police wrote could not tell it was 10//11/17 or 12/11/17. I thought it was 12/11/17. Because 10/11/17, the time window they give me to mail the fine is too short.

A: The clerk cannot over write a court order. You should ask the clerk how you would get in front of a judge to straighten it out.
