Arab, AL asked in Divorce for Alabama

Q: My wife and I have been married for ten months. Separated for the last two weeks, however, two days before the seperatio

n my wife told me how in love with me she is and how she can't imagine life without me and how I am her best friend. I have anger management problems and have been going to counseling since the day my wife left our home. She now says she doesn't love me and owes me nothing and has filed for divorce. Based on the facts that we had no problems all the way up to two days before separating, can I request court ordered counseling before the judge rules and how likely would it be for my request to be granted? We also have a rabbit and a cat together that I have provided all support for as my wife does not work and she is saying I can't see them anymore. I don't want to take them from her, but I would like to see them. Do I have any rights?

A: The animals are property and will be part of a property settlement. You will not be ordered to pay support to her. The Court will decide who gets what in a property settlement. It is not likely that the Court will order counseling in a case with no children.
