Q: Can i register a complaint against another tenant that is a nuisance in an apartment complex?
I have been residing in my current apartment since April 2017. Shortly after that, new tenants moved into a vacant apartment in an apartment below us to the right. Overly the last 4 months, this tenant has had multiple verbal altercations that are loud. The police have gone to them at least once to twice a month. Usually there are at minium 4 officers but upwards to 8, as well as k9 units. Ive seen this at least 6 times in 3 months. Last week, i witnessed the tenant cleaning up broken glass from the inner pane of the double pane window being removed and cleaned. A month prior, one of the tenants living there was outside and obviously under the influence, muttering to themselves and complaining about lead paint in their skin and lungs from an imaginary sticker they saw on the wall. Should I register a formal complaint? Or how do I proceed to address this with my apartment management?
