Olivehurst, CA asked in Divorce for Florida

Q: Open divorce case in Florida but neither party resides there. Next steps?

Wife retained an attorney and filed for divorce in Florida. Husband lives in California and has never resided in Florida. She moved to Maine while case in Florida was open and without resolution. Her attorney resigned from her case but the case remains open in Florida. Husband cannot file for divorce in California due to the open case in Florida. How does husband resolve so he can legally end marriage? Wife has moved on and now has a child with another man (who she moved to Maine with).
