Hollywood, FL asked in Contracts and Business Law for Florida

She pretended to represent Homestead Air Reserve Base and proposed my company with a contract to do servicing there (tile installation)

This "vendor" met with me in person, asked me to sign a contract and to pay a "security fee" that will be "refunded" at the end of the project ($27000) in order to guarantee the process and proceed with the contract signing. This fee was paid in cash and there is no legal document to prove this payment.

She sent emails with the contract to make the process "realistic" and met with me to sign this contracts but it ended up being a scam.

What can I do about this situation? One of my biggest concerns is that she has some of my personal information (like a copy of my license that she used to run a "background check")

I do have a copy of her license in case it may help. I can also meet with her in person as she is still playing the game and asking me to "wait".

A: Contact the authorities before you meet with her next time. They may want to press criminal charges, and arrest her at that time.
