Decatur, GA asked in Intellectual Property, Bankruptcy, Employment Law and Workers' Compensation for Georgia

Q: I have recently been filling job applications on indeed. After awhile I was emailed by a guy named Keith for a job

He said he worked for a company that was opening up a new office in Atlanta and he needed and administrative assistant (what I applied for) ugrgently and he chose me. He asked me a couple of questions about how many hours am I will to work typical stuff. Then he said that I will be paid $750 every week as pay. Which I accepted. He also said that since I will be doing a lot of errands for him and what not that he's going to send me a check to be able to to do those errands along with my pay of $750. He said that he will be sending the check and to take out the $750 for my pay, and the rest of the money will be used for the errands. So I got the check, and deposited into my bank account. Long story short the guy is a fraud, and took the money back from my account. Before I spend anything... I've only spent about $150 bcus my bank was holding the rest until a few days later since t was a large amount. Now my bank is over drafted and he took the money back that was my pay.am I able to sue?
