Yes, but the use of force could be justified under chapter 9 of the Tx Penal Code if (1) you catch the rapist in the act and immediately use force to protect the victim or (2) catch the rapist immediately afterwards and use force to prevent his escape before the cops arrive. Immediately means immediately... not seeking revenge after the fact. Also, you can forfeit the justification by using more force than reasonably necessary.
