Q: Can a car legally block a lane that ends up ahead (up to 1000 ft before it closes) while there are 2 lanes on that road?
I was in an accident in the situation above. No citations were issued, but per the report, I was at fault. I was in the right lane that closed ahead. I do this because some cars in the left lane can make a left turn onto a street ahead of where the accident was. A "bully" saw me coming and decided that he didn't want me to pass him. He ended up side-swiping me.
A: he doesn't have a right to side swipe you. Not clear what he was doing. However, he doesn't have to make way for you.Suggest if you got a ticket you plead not guilty.
