A: Thanks for reaching out. Abuse is a difficult thing to deal with. At least you are doing something about it. So often, people tolerate ill treatment. The short answer to your question is yes. You need to contact the Prosecutor in your area. A city attorney or the prosecutor in the circuit court will help you. You should also make a police report right away. Be sure and take lots of pictures.

Abuse always gets worse. Got some help from your family and friends. Be honest with them about it and let them help you get away from the abuse. I have been in the law business for 32 years as a cop, probation officer, lawyer, prosecutor, etc. If you can't get away, he will continue to hurt you. He may even kill you.

I am very proud of you for reaching out for help. You have taken the hardest step! Take the next step. Tell everyone you know about it, call the cops, file criminal charges, get away, go to church, protect your children and listen to your family. It is very hard to get away but you can do it. Bless you.
