Q: If my injury has not been properly diagnosed by a workers comp physician, being the Injury happened February 26, 2017

You finally see a WC mpn doctor but still not receiving treatment meaning physical therapy or other ex rays to see what's causing the lump in my left hand where a heavy box smashed down causing continuous pain? My first WC medical appointment was November 1,2017, also the date my leave of absence started. The physician did 1 x-ray but doesn't see anything wrong but the lump is still here Keeps saying a contusion,or arthritis? Why no physical therapy no treatment at all.will this cause emotional and mental distress because I've been so angry being overlooked things I can't do, being up some nights cause of the pain.

A: Just because you 'a doctor' on the Medical Provider Network does not mean you receive standard medical treatment... most docs on the MPN look at a patient and provide no treatment whatsoever. That is how they remain on the MPN. You get zero for mental distress and chronic pain, you get treatment only now for psychiatric injuries, so in most cases it's a huge invasion of privacy for two visits with a psychologist, just not worth it. TIME BETTER SPENT would be thoroughly researching the doctors on the MPN, checking medical board complaints and other complaints, whether Applicant's Attorneys refer to them. MOST PEOPLE have zero ability to do this, and so hire an attorney -- not a legal secretary or a legal assistant -- experienced with the doctors in your region. Sounds like you need a Plastic Surgeon for Hands, a Hand Specialist...and there are just a couple who are friendly towards injured workers. Sounds like you got one 'in bed' with the adjuster and no treatment will be coming until you hire the attorney and switch doctors.
