A: An action to enforce/collect a Tennessee judgment must be filed within ten (10) years from the entry of the judgment- the day the written judgment signed by the Judge is filed in the court clerk's office. However the ten year period can be EXTENDED- the creditor has to file a request seeking the extension within that same ten year period.
