Little River, SC asked in Landlord - Tenant for South Carolina

Q: If my original lease has expired and moved informally to a month to month. Do I need to give notice of leaving.

My original lease ended in fall of 2017, since then I have been paying month to month. There has been no resigning or even acknowledgment that lease had ended and transitioned. Do I need to give a notice before moving due to landlord not addressing problems.

I told landlord of bedbug issue from a adjacent unit mid December, he still has not sent anyone to check or treat. Also found out from previous tenant that bugs were in the complex before i moved in. The adjacent unit had them and landlord apparen't my knew and did nothing. That is why previous tenant left.
