A: Can you be forced to do a job that is not your normal job? No. The employer has no legal way to force you. However, you can be fired if you refuse to do such a job. In these situations, I always recommend the employee access the importance of continued employment. If you do not need the job, then you may want to stand on principal and refuse to do anything other than your normal job. If you do need the job, then you likely will have to do as the employer instructs.
