Asked in Child Support for Pennsylvania

Q: Is my husband still responsible to pay support to his daughter whom is 18 and no longer going to high school?

My husband's daughter has not attended high school for the past 5 month And she turned 18 July 2017 yet he's still been paying child support for her. Her mother has not turned it in to domestics either. Shouldn't the support for her end and the mother owe him money back for her? His daughter is also working a full time job now too.

A: In PA a parent is obligated to provide support for a child until the child attains 18 years of age or is graduated from high school, whichever first occurs. it would seem that he is still obligated to provide support but you might consider having him consult in person with an experienced family law attorney in your area to see if there's any reason to file a petition to vacate the order now, before she turns 18.
