Q: What happens if childs father enrolls child into a school without mothers knowing?
Child's father had a stroke last year. Received call from his "girlfriend" advising she took him to the hospital which was in another county. Child was doing Cyber schooling and then father enrolled child into a school without my knowledge. Father moved in with "girlfriend" end of 2017. Received court papers in the mail for child support and I've supported child 100% including medical, clothing, school lunches. Child is 17 years old and we were 100% civil. No custody order for my situation. Lived together from 2002-2014 (moved out because he had a child with said girlfriend the prior year and hid it?) Can child support be thrown out because of everything he did behind my back. I can't have son change schools again, not fair to him to uproot in junior year of high school again.
A: While you've provided a lot of information here, one of the most important bits of info not here is whether there's a custody order in effect? This question really can't be addressed without the basic information regarding custody.
