Chicago, IL asked in Traffic Tickets for Illinois

Q: Can a cop speed down the street just to run my license plates? Can I request evidence from the car cam & body cam?

I was leaving a gas station headed for work at 2am. Once I pulled off the gas station lot I noticed a cop at the traffic light waiting to go to the gas station. So once I looked in my rear view mirror I noticed that the cop pulled on the gas station lot then pulled out the lot coming after me. Now I was several blocks ahead of him and the speed limit was 45mph. At the very last light I needed to turn right on, he sped up so fast that he had to mash on his breaks. I stop at the light as if it was a stop sign and once I turned he pulled me over. He said that I didn't stop completely. Can I request proof of this from his car cam? I ask because I know I stopped completely. Okay I got arrested for suspended License but I didn't know. But is he allowed to even speed down a street to harass me? This has been going on for months.
