North Port, FL asked in Child Custody and Family Law for Florida

Q: How can I move my child custody case from Tennessee to Florida? April 1st will be 6 months for us.

My children are being severely neglected by their father who lives in TN. TN said it was my fault for letting my children be neglected by their father, despite handing over copious amounts of evidence of abuse towards myself and them, awarding him 50/50 custody when before he was only allowed supervised visitation with no overnight visitations. TN also says I'm at fault for withholding my children from him to protect them from the neglect, despite the fact that they also say I'm at fault for allowing that neglect, and that I can't do anything to protect them from him until they are seriously injured. To be clear, TN says its my fault that my children have been neglected by their father and that I can't protect them by refusing visitation. I can't believe this is right. I don't want to see my children neglected and mistreated by their father, so I want to move the case to FL and have it reevaluated but unclear as to how.

A: Florida will not take over the case unless the children are living here so that is first step.
