Chicago, IL asked in Criminal Law for Arkansas

Q: My ex wife keeps trying too contact me off unknown and privite numbers. We have a no contact order in place.

I have screen shots of about 2 thousand incoming calls from unknown numbers by my ex wife over the last year. Ive saved everyone. I have voicemails from her. I have voice recordings from her dating back the last year. We have a no cantact order in place and shes the victim and I'm the defendant. She keeps trying to contact me and then play the victim at the same time. I pled not guilty too the 2 violations of a contact order I got hit with. If i go in there with 130 pieces of paper showing that she's been contacting me off unknown numbers and Wednesday recordings and voicemails I have will it be thrown out? if not what do you think I will get? I have a clear record besides one other charge a pi and I've never spent the day in jail. Will it be voided because she's contacting me and provoking and instigating harassing and kind of stalking. She downloads fake text message apps to make it look like its me and it's not. Will it be thrown out or dismissed when I go to trial? Please help...?

A: Hire an attorney. If you broke the no contact order, you broke the order. That isn’t negated by her action. However, an experienced attorney may be able to resolve these facts favorably with the prosecutor or at a bench trial. I would not try to do it by self-representation.
