Q: Hi, I am in an Internship in PE firm that has no legal counsel. I was given to review the NDA. Is it legal/risky for me?

A: It's impossible to answer your question without knowing the exact terms of the non-disclosure agreement and the circumstances under which you were given it to review. It's one thing if you're handed a copy and told it's what employees have to sign upon being hired, it's another thing if it was given to you with an expectation you'd sign it, and it's something else it it was given to you with a demand that you sign it. If this is bothering you, consult with an attorney about it. Bring him or her a copy of the agreement to evaluate (if the private equity firm will let you do so). There are too many possible variables to give a solid answer without having a chance to determine which variables are in play in your situation.
