Upland, CA asked in Employment Discrimination, Employment Law and Personal Injury for California

Q: I worked on new high rise building, There was mold on certain floors and were told to continue working. Can I sue?

It’s a high profile building, mold was on certain floors but was kept quiet and General contractor said it was nothing bad and told us it was ok to continue working around it, but hired people from Vegas who were in fully covered protective clothing as they removed and covered up any evidence of mold. They said it was tested but came up negative but a lot of guys including myself started coughing irregularly. Never went to doctors because not brought up that way but throat continues to wheeze at times. I think it’s cause of the mold were around. Can I sue or do a class act??

A: If you haven't been diagnosed with any related medical condition and have no medical expenses, you don't have a case.

A: more info is needed......however anyone can sue at any time.

the issues are proving there was liability and then that you were damaged/injured.

without medical proof how do you determine an amount that you were injured (if at all) and that your cough was from the mold.

a workers comp lawyer might be worth considering... if you were injured.

what county do you live in?
