Hialeah, FL asked in Employment Law and Business Law for Florida

Q: What can I do with my employer?

Hi, so I work as a valet and on 04/04/18 at around 4:55 AM I had a small incident with a car. I reported it to my manager and he reported it to the main office. I was supposed to go back that same day at night. However my shift was canceled and two other shifts have also been canceled (Thursday and Sunday). I've called my manager and he just tells me that they're "waiting". So my question is, what can I do or say to get an answer from them? I can't stay in this limbo, if I have a job or not. Can I request all the paper work I signed when hired? to see if they can rightfully keep me from working while they "wait". Thanks

A: Yes. You can request copies of your employment contract.
