Q: Can my ex change the existing child support amt without having a hearing to modify the support?
It is in our existing parenting plan that is filed with the court that my husband pays $525.00 in child support each month. He has done some research and now based on HIS INTERPRETATION of the child support laws and HIS ACCOUNTING ability to fill in the online child support worksheet he has determined he only owes $79.00. He has filed modification paperwork, but I haven't even been served yet, so that is at least a month away. He is refusing to comply with the existing parenting plan. Can he do this without his modification being heard or must he follow the existing order?
