Spartansburg, PA asked in Child Custody for Pennsylvania

Q: Should/can I file for an emergency custody order?

My 15 month old son went to his fathers house on Saturday. My ex lives with his parents. My ex and his father got into a fight and were screaming at each other while my son was there. My ex ended up pulling a knife on his dad and cut his dads hand. I’m extremely concerned for the safety of my child and am not sure what to do now. His parents just told me this hours ago.

A: I think more information is needed before you can make a decision on this. For example, were the police involved? I assume your son wasn't harmed. Have his parents ordered you ex out of their home? I suggest that you obtain more details and then make an appointment with an experienced family law attorney in your area to discuss the facts and your options.
