Q: If i got hurt in texas but live in California can i receive workers comp in california

A: It depends on if you were hired or recruited in Texas also. If your employer is from California you may be required to file under Ca law. I would imagine the laws from Ca. would be better than wc laws of Texas. Your employer must have the proper coverage "known as other states" coverage in Texas in order to be covered.
