Orlando, FL asked in Contracts and Tax Law for Florida

Q: Foreign register needed????

My Handyman Business does storm debris removal, tarps, and non skilled trades in florida. We would like to chase storms in a few other states like NC, TX, AL, LA. There are a lot of high winds and small tornadoes going on right now which means I could run up there for 1-3 weeks and potentially get a lot of work. Ive done some research on foreign registry for my LLC but can not find a set answer on what I would need to do as this is either a one time thing or just a few week thing and not ongoing business in these areas. So my question is would I need to register my LLC in those states to conduct business? I would not have a local agent or office there, kinda like the storm chasing roofing companies but not doing finished work. If no direct answer where would I find the correct answers to this question as I want to do everything legally. I am an ex adjuster and used to chasing storms but not for my own LLC. Any and all help is appreciated, Thank you and have a blessed day.

A: You would need to research each of those states. I suggest you goggle it, using a phrase something like "doing business in _____".
