Because right now I’m India And my husband is in Ohio. And he doesn’t want to accept me.
A: Yes, in a divorce, the person filing must have been a resident of OH for the past 6 months, and a resident for 3 months in the county in which the divorce is filed. But a dissolution or legal separation could be filed. Or you could file for divorce in India. A divorce granted in India would be effective in OH, although it would not be effective for ordering spousal support or division of property in Ohio.
