Asked in Traffic Tickets for Louisiana

Q: WHO IS SUPPOSED TO WRITE ME THE TICKET IF THERE IS 3 OFFICERS ON THE SCENE.

HE TURNED AROUND HIT HIS LIGHTS AND PULLED ME OVER. I ASKED HIM HOW DID HE SEE MY LICENSE PLATE LIGHT FROM IN FRONT OF ME. HE TELLS ME ANOTHER UNIT WAS BEHIND ME AND SEEN MY LIGHT WAS OUT AND IM GUESSING HE RADIO THIS OFFICER TO PULL ME OVER. SO THE I GET 4 TICKETS FOR LIGHTS AND MY LICENSE WAS SUSPENDED DID NOT HAVE PROOF OF INSURANCE OR MY RESISTRATION BECAUSE I HAD CLEANED OUT MT TRUCK AND FORGOT TO PUT THEM BACK IN MY TRUCK. I WAS 2 BLOCKS AWAY FROM HOME AND I HAD A LICESED DRIVER TO DRIVE MY TRUCK HOME YET THEY STILL TOWED MY TRUCK ALL THE WAY ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PARISH. NOW THE OFFICER THAT PULLED ME OVER DID NOT FILL OUT OR SIGH NONE OF THE TICKETS. THE OTHER TWO OFFICERS ON THE SCENE WROTE ME TWO DIFFERENT CITATIONS ONE OF WHOM I BELIEVE WAS THE CHIEF. SHOULDN'T THE OFFICER WHO PULLED ME OVER BE THE ONE TO WRITE ME THE TICKET AND TAKE CHARGE OF THE SCENE.

A: The ticket is an Affidavit and yes, the officer who observed the violation should be the one swearing that he saw the violation.
