Q: Slandering my name on social media. Going through a child custody case.
I'm going through a child custody case. I'm going for full 100% custody of my child bc the reasons of my child father has never took good care of my son. My family and friends have seen on social media that the father of my child and his family has been slandering my name across the internet multiple times. Im a very private person and don't talk to much about my life on the internet. I've felt very uncomfortable about this situation. What would the court do when I give this evidence...?
A:
The Father is not being very smart. The Court will not look kindly at his behavior. If I were you, I would be taking pictures of all social media that disparages you and making sure, if your case goes to court, that the judge sees the pictures.
I advise my own clients to stop using any social media while I represent them.
If you need further assistance, I recommend contacting an experienced family law attorney.
