Q: I had a previous Employer tell very personal/confidential information about me to customers. Did he break the any law?
I had a previous drug abuse issue. I went to my employer for help. Told him in confidence. I had to switch to another company for multiple reasons. He told that company. Other companies. Previous customers. Also contacted my family and spouse. Only to tarnish my name. Did he break any type of law? It prevented me from a management position at one job. He did it out of spite. He wanted to make sure I could not work at any other company. He also text my spouse (now wife) telling her I cheated on her. Saying he “Wishes” he has a girl like her. She still has the messages as well... He went on to take me to court to say I was a thief and spread it around Tulsa, OK. He has money. I didn’t at the time to fight anything. He won in court over a lie/misunderstanding. Something I could not “Technically” prove. The guy is a bully. Tried to ruin my life. Got close. Just need to know if he broke any type of law by exposing my confidential info
When I went to him for help. He only made it worse.
