Torrance, CA asked in Civil Litigation, Employment Discrimination and Sexual Harassment for California

Q: Former boss is blackmailing me into lying to his lawyers.

I provided text messages to HR which proved that me and a former boss had a relationship that had soured which in turn caused him to lay me off and not find me another job when the account closed. He is now accusing the company of wrongful termination and claiming the text messages I provided were fake. He has reached out to me and first tried blackmailing me into telling his lawyers they are fake and that I forged them online (which they are not). He has threatened to send my pictures and text messages to family members via a private investigator if I don't allege that the pictures are fake.
