Saint Louis, MO asked in Criminal Law for Indiana

Q: How long does it take to get a warrant issued if I violate my home detention? I only have 12 days left. Marion county in

On home detention in Morgan co. But supervised thru Marion co. 12 days left no back up time & no probation once done. Have doctor's appt. And my plates are expired on vehicle so need to renew. Supervisor will not allow me to do this unless I pay him 1/2 of what I owe for my fees. So... if I leave without permission how long would it take to get violation filed and warrant issued

A: Even if it takes longer than 12 days to file the revo for violating home detention and your end date has come and gone, you can still be violated. The time will toll as of when the violation was alleged to have occurred so you will still be considered on HD and can have jail imposed for the violation.
