Q: Being sued by a lady who I hit in an auto accident. I have no job, money or assets. What will happen if they win civil
suit? And can they come after my wife since shes the one who works?
If you have insurance that should cover it. Get a copy of the police report. But let your insurance company be your guide--they will provide you with an attorney.
If you have no insurance they may get a judgment against you. Generally your wife would not be involved, but if she has a car that has no insurance she will be at fault. In that case you may want to at least get a consultation from a bankruptcy attorney.
