Streetsboro, OH asked in Child Support, Divorce and Family Law for Ohio

Q: Can ex-wife take me to court and change existing arrangement after 6 years of divorce?

Her Financial situation has gotten better so by arrangement I mean that due to her new relationship she wants me to pay more so she can pay for more babysitter time. Now that My older son is an adult I no longer pay for him it was found I over payed so my child support has been adjusted. She wants me to pay more and even suggest I should be paying her. I continue Medical coverage for both sons, pay child support, buy my son what he needs, pick him up and drop him off and even let her claim him every year. She is custodial parent and I have him every other weekend. Now that she has a relationship she wants me to pay her more money because she is paying for more child care. She even suggest I should be paying her alimony.

A: Child support remains subject to change by the court if the financial circumstances change.
