Rosedale, NY asked in Contracts for New York

Q: Wedding photos questions

I got married almost 10 years ago, the person who took my photos and the place where i got married both went out of business. I was able to locate the person who made my photo album. He has copies of my photos digital and is charging $500 for a digital CD. I asked why so much. He claims that place that contracted him owed him $1,000 and he has to get the money from someone. I think this is ridiculous since I paid both the hall and the photographer. Even though the hall went out of business 3 years I asked why didn't you claim your money before they went out of business. I need to know how can I get my photos digitally without having to pay $500 I told him I am willing to pay $300 the max for the photos.

A: You are lucky to find the digital copies. This guy owes you nothing. Pay the $500.
