Kodak, TN asked in Landlord - Tenant and Real Estate Law for Tennessee

Q: We have no written lease, landlord is selling the house, what is our rights as a tenant still, with realtor showing home

We have allowed the realtor in with no problems, first they posted a picture of my minor child without my consent, second they have refused to give us a 24 hour notice on showing the house, I got a 6 hour notice today and by the landlord not the realtor, third I am asked to leave while they show the house. They all continue telling me I have no rights because the landowner signed the contract with the realtor.

A: You do not have any real rights here except present possession. That means they will have to file a Detainer Warrant, serve or post the Warrant, get a Judgment, and if you are not out in ten days, get and execute a Writ of Possession.
