Asked in Criminal Law for Louisiana

Q: My girlfriend is being accused of dropping a small amount of drugs in a public place one of the employees called the

Cops my gf was questioned by the cops he told her to hold on that he was going to watch the cameras to see if she was the one that dropped it she waitied around for several min. Then left nothing else was said for a couple of weeks now they are trying to charge her of this the security system at the place only holds so much video to play back after so long it's deleted automatically so before they could ever view the footage it had already deleted so they had the employees there to write statement there's three statement's all together 1 of the girls that wrote a statement wasn't even at work that night the other two was there at work but only one was present during time of incident now the place of business has pressed charges and my gf that is a nurse is being forced to go to 7 months of rehab and is innocent the girl that called the cops had picked up the evidence before the cops got there. Should she get a lawyer and take this to trial or just go with rehab?
