Q: I had punched a minor am I’m 23 n she was like 16 17 and she pressed charges will I get locked up this is my 1st charge

A: No idea. Sounds like a probation case, but you never know and it depends what you're charged with. Aggravated assault is a felony; simple assault is a misdemeanor. Two very different animals, and the punishments for each differ greatly as well.

A: A man striking a woman is ungentlemanly. An older person striking a younger person is bullying. Don't look for sympathy from the Court; look for the best deal you can get; this will mean actually hiring an attorney in the county where it happened. Depending on the charges you may a) get no jail b) if you get jail, ask for a suspended sentence. But you need to talk to an attorney who handles criminal cases.
