Asked in Child Support for Louisiana

Q: If my child turns 18 on the 2nd of the month, how much child support did I have to pay for that month? $350 twice a mont

I've paid 350 twice a month for 14 years. Sometimes 3 times a month just to make sure there was plenty. Just not sure what I need to pay in that last 2 days

A: You would only owe it for those 2 days. So, for a 30 day month, you would owe $46.67 for those 2 days. However, if you paid 3 times a month sometimes, you may have overpaid. I would check with support enforcement if paying through the state to make sure.

A: $47 for the month your child turns 18, UNLESS your child is still in high school. If still in high school, you have to pay until your child graduates, but in no case later than 19th birthday.
