Q: my question is will i be able to get my security deposit back if i move landlord i not put it in a trust interest

my apartment is a health risk has been for 7 yrs i took care of the black mold and now im planing to moving an did not tell him yet trying to get everthing in order before i tell him see my husband passed this may can not afford it warren county got me into a lease they told me they would help after all is said an done they said they cant help i was on a month to month for 7 yrs am i bound to it and the roof has not been fix in 2 yrs from a leak i have pictures he has never gave the security deposit back to anyone that has lived here and he is now chargeing another tenant 600 for the month of july and keeping her security deposit he says it deposit is for cleaning and painting be side that our security deposit iis not in a interest bearing account
