Houston, TX asked in Car Accidents, Contracts, Products Liability and Arbitration / Mediation Law for Texas

Q: I was driving for lyft and someone hit the car I was renting through flexdrive whose partnering with lyft.

The client and Geico has taken full responsibility from day one. Flexdrive has not been cooperative to this fact seeing that I still have a hold on my account through Lyft. They have ruined my life. Got in the way of my potential earnings. Lyft was my main source of income. I have also not been returned my deposit of $250 along with this hold of more than $400 is on my account. I need resolutions but I can never get anyone directly for flexdrive. The lyft partners claim they send info over but there has been nothing done. I have attempted to call lyft corporate and go to the flexdrive location several times and noone knows or can do anything. I want my money back and the opportunity to work on lyft platform without all of my money made being give to them. What can I do?

A: Classic problem with any rental institution. You are on the hook so it's easiest to keep busting your chops. As they are involved with lyft you may want to look for an attorney who handles employment cases and insurance "bad faith" cases and is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association
