Escondido, CA asked in Criminal Law for California

Q: Figured out husband is commuting welfare fraud. How do I protect myself, assets and real estate licenses from this?

I have a license daycare in our home and real estate license and both are run through the DOJ and I know if anything pops up on me they flag my license and can revoke them. Also if he gets charged and convicted they can make me either kick him out or close down my daycare because he has collected more than 2k which I believe would be classified as a felony, right? How do I protect myself from my husband’s stupidity? Will legal separation work? Or divorce better? We have been married 21 years in September have 4 boys, 3 of which are still minors. (17, 14,13). Just need to know what my first step would be to cover myself, our kids and Home. Thank you.
