Q: My daughter was at college and was involved in an accident, the other driver left the scene only to return before the

police arrived, she was sited at fault, it has been 2 yrs. since the accident and now they are looking for money for damages. She did not have insurance at the time. What can i do?

A: It sounds like they sued right before the statute of limitations ran out, which is common. Since she didn't have insurance, she is going to need a lawyer to defend her.

A: They are looking--did they sue? If not, lay low. I'm assuming your daughter is at fault. If she wasn't, then she should be looking for an attorney if it's not two years yet--look for a member of the Ohio Assn for Justice--they give free consults.
