Q: I have an early termination clause in my apartment lease that I would like clarified.

"Resident may terminate this Lease before the expiration of the original Lease Ending Date, or any renewals thereof, providing all of the followg conditions are met:

A. Resident must give 30 day notice to the Landlord, pay rent through the end of the 30 day notice period, and move out no later than the expiration date of the 30 day period;

B. Resident must pay a termination fee equal to two times the monthly rental rate in effect at the time of termination. This termination fee is $0.00. This termination fee is in addition to rent and other fees owed through the notice period and is due and payable prior to move out; and

C. Resident must re-pay any leasing promotions and/or discount/she received during the current lease term. Such payments must be made prior to move out.

This is my termination clause for my lease. Would I be able to break my lease and pay the rent for 30 day notice. When i asked my landlord they said it’s 200%.
