Downey, CA asked in Civil Litigation, Traffic Tickets and Car Accidents for California

Q: how do I unsuspend my license?

I have a suspended license since October 2014 for an accident that occurred in 2014. I was never served for court or anything, I was away for school for two years.

A: need more info

if it was just an accident without a dui, then they would only suspend your CDL if you did not have insurance at the time of the accident or you had to many points on your record.

you should be eligible to get your license back so if you went to DMV they will tell you what you have to do and WHEN you can get it back.

A: First, check your driving record:

Online at www.dmv.ca.gov ($2 fee).

By mail by completing a Request For Your Own Driver License Identification Card Or Vehicle/Vessel Registration Information Record (INF 1125) form, available online at www.dmv.ca.gov ($5 fee).

In person at your local DMV office ($5 fee).

If you need to do anything to reinstate your license, you can contact the DMV by calling 1-800-777-0133 for details.

There will be fees:
