Q: My mom got hit

I got rear ended by a drunk/drugs man while driving.. he got arrested at scene.. police report was filed and claim was done as well.. i wasnt hurt but damage was done to my vehicle.. idk wut im looking at soo far if i should hire an attorney or take it on my own.. the other parties insurance sent me a letter wanting to hear from me as far as my version on the incident and wants me to take the vehicle so they can repair the damages made to my vehicle. Idk wut to do if u can plz advice me wut will b better for me to do in this matter

A: Have your vehicle looked at by whoever you want to have fix it. Don't give a statement--tell them to check the police report, damage to the other persons vehicle damage to yours. They should give you a rental during the repair part.

If you were hurt get with a member of the Texas Assn for Justice for the county where the wreck happened--they give free consults.
